Switch from 2 Channels to 4 Channels
The Motorola RMU2040 is a two-watt, four-channel two way radio that offers crisp audio, loud volume, and tough durability for harsh environments. Out of the box it has two active channels, which can be confusing since it is advertised as a four-channel radio. This article is going to show you how to activate the two other channels.
If you would like to have separate groups within your company communicate on their own channels, you may need more than two channels, which is why it is important to know how to activate all four channels. The below video will walk you through how to quickly activate a third channels (if you only want three channels) or all four channels.
If you’re experiencing interference or static on your Motorola RMU2040’s, adding the extra channels may help, but you should check out our post on how to change the programming of the RMU2040 to permanently fix the issue.
Now that you know how to activate all four channels on your radios, you can split your team into groups and communicate more effectively.
